I almost died

December 9, 2015 11:49am, I got into the taxi in Colon, Panama, which is on the Atlantic side of Panama (Central America), on my way to the airport an hour away.  As the taxi driver speeds down the highway at upwards of 80mph I noticed some rain clouds coming our way.  I said, 'it looks like rain coming ahead", he said, 'oh no we don't get rain til late after noon'.  I saw some heavy sporadic drops hit  the windshield for about 30 second and then all of a sudden out of nowhere a torrential sheet of rain covered the entire area.  As I am thinking to myself, 'he should really be a bit more cautious and slow down', I felt the tires slip and go out of alignment and the van started to veer left into the concrete median at oncoming traffic.  The taxi driver then turns his steering wheel to go with the van and gain control.  As we barely missed the median the 8 passenger van is now sliding sideways at about 60 MPH.  My seatbelt was on and I grabbed the handle above the door to gain more stability and I noticed we are going backwards now and all I could say was "WHOA!!! WHOOOAAHHH!!!! At that moment I realized this was happening, but at the same it felt surreal, like a roller coaster ride, lol.  It was as if time stood still for a moment to experience this suspended reality; I did not have time for fear, it was more of an adrenaline rush, if you will.  At this time we are going completely backwards and as look  to my side there was a cliff and we were teetering and inching ever so closely to the 3ft metal rail that blockades automobiles from crashing down the mountain.  The taxi driver then turned the wheel again and we  were going in the right direction but sideways, MY SIDE, and now we are sliding into the overpass beams.  The van is slowing down a bit but it is inching closer and closer to that concrete beam and I just knew we were going to have impact or overturn and roll into it.  Somehow by the Father's grace we managed to stop the van about 2 ft from crashing into the beam, me first, and I am so grateful to be sharing this story with you.  I must have some guardian angels all around me, luckily there were no other cars in our vicinity other wise it would have been a different story.  So in the words of an artist friend of min Ben Caron "I am grateful for living" I want to let you know if you are reading these words that, "I LOVE YOU" and I am grateful for you.   If you are amazed by this story as I am please I would love to hear from you. It is good to be loved as tomorrow is not promised; If it just a word or two just let me know you are there for me as I am there for you. I think we desperately need to spread LOVE in this time and be grateful for living because there are those out there who want to take it away from us. As long as I am here on this earth I vow to share it with those all who will receive it.  I hope you will do the same.  Much love and peace to you and yours. Merry Christmas and Happy New year!!!
